Senior Services Engineer- Bristol Hartnell Taylor Cook's Mechanical & Electrical team work closely with Property Management and Building colleagues to provide clients solutions that directly result in their buildings performing at a high level on a more sustainable basis.
With a varied portfolio of buildings, the M&E teams work on both new buildings and older buildings, implementing retrofitting best practice.In implementing owner and occupier focused M&E techniques, the team ensure asset realisation by reducing running costs and capital expenditure, whilst maintaining overall occupier satisfaction.
Key to these techniques is an unparalleled understanding of the asset and its M&E systems combined with continuous and constructive engagement with the buildings occupiers and owners.
The team has a position available in the London area for an experienced Building Services / Asset Engineer with demonstrable practical / post qualification experience.
This fantastic opportunity would suit an ambitious Electrical Building Services Engineer looking to apply their technical expertise in a property consultancy context.
Key responsibilities: Prepare and manage engineering projects to include: specification, design, life cycle cost, equipment selection, planned maintenance programmes, dilapidations, acquisitions and the preparation of and review of tender documentation; Conduct surveys to gather field data e.g.
asset collection; Manage all aspects of work from start to finish and ensure that all work is carried out within the set time and budgetary requirements; Have good working knowledge of "European Economic Area" Building Services Engineering standards, policies, and legislation; Knowledge of applicable laws and building codes, safety legislation and approved codes of practice e.g.

Interact with and work with clients, the general public, trades people and fellow professionals; Supporting business development activity for M&E team and the wider business where appropriate; Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices; health systems; Demonstrate awareness of sustainable construction, operations and maintenance; Skills and Experience:- Experience in building services consultancy, with an M&E bias.
Qualification to be at least (NVQ3) in building services engineering e.g.
Mechanical Engineering and ten years' experience (following qualification) or recognised Engineering Degree Ability to investigate, identify and provide solutions to technical problems; Excellent client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written), with experience presenting (you will often be required to present solutions directly to senior stakeholders); Experience in the preparation of detailed technical reports for delivery direct to a client audience; Ability to problem solve and propose multiple solutions to clients and objectively summarise the benefits and shortfalls of each; Qualification to be at least (NVQ3) in building services engineering e.g.
Mechanical Engineering and ten years' experience (following qualification) or recognised Engineering Degree..
