Senior Bridge Engineer

I am working with a Local Authority in the South West who are looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to assist their Structures and Asset Management Team.
Key Responsibilities: - Overseeing and managing structural engineering projects, particularly involving bridge structures - Conducting structural assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards - Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members - Preparing detailed design calculations and technical reports - Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to achieve project goals - Ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables - Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies - Maintaining high standards of health and safety within all project activities Job Requirements: - Significant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridge structures - Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles - Proficiency in using relevant engineering software - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure - Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification This job will be initially offered out on a 6 month contract paying £40/45 per hour inside IR35, flexible working arrangements can be agreed.
