Job summary The Pharmacy clinical trials unit at the Bristol Royal Infirmaryare looking for a Senior Assistant Technical Officer (SATO) to join our dedicated Pharmacy clinical trials dispensing team and assist with our increasing portfolio of research studies across the Trust.
The post will involve working within the trials dispensary and also assisting with the running of clinical trials in our 2 aseptic dispensing units.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills, be able to follow written procedures, work independently and be able to communicate effectively.
You must have completed your NVQlevel 2 in Pharmacy Services (or be nearing completion).
Duties willinclude dispensing of clinical trial medication, stock management and maintenance of clinical trial records.
Main duties of the job Work as part of the Pharmacy clinical trials team.
Ensure the accurate stock control, maintenance of records and dispensing of trial material within the Pharmacy Trials Unit and aseptic units.
Carry out all work in accordance with relevant standards and local Standard Operating Proceduresand with a high degree of accuracy.
Communicate with a broad professional group, as well as members of the public and research sponsors.
Represent the department and the Trust well at all times.
