Help support the ongoing development and support for our medical workforce through appraisal and revalidation We are inviting applications to recruit AFC Senior Appraisal Officers via the NCIC Bank to join our established medical appraiser is a fantastic development opportunity to enhance your career.
The minimum number of appraisals we'd like you to do is 6 annually in an appraisal year with 4 hours per appraisal allocated.
A fully paid training package, which has been developed by the CD for appraisals covers; Good medical practice framework, links with revalidation , conducting a medical appraisal, drawing up a PDP etc.
It is an excellent opportunity for a specialist AFC practitioner to further enhance and develop skills, knowledge and experience out with own professional/clinical boundaries by leading, coaching and facilitating a medical appraisal for Medical colleagues.
The successful candidate/s will utilise specialist extensive knowledge of AFC appraisals, supervision and management to assist the medical appraisal team with the delivery and development continuous quality improvement of this project to develop new innovative a process/system of supporting medical staff through the appraisal process.
Full training will be given as well as ongoing support.
Main duties of the job Provide a key appraiser role in the Medical Appraiser system by autonomously leading and conducting medical appraisals.
You will be expected to carry out a minimum of 6 medical appraisals within the standard appraisal year (from 1 April to 31 March) to maintain competency, skills and knowledge.
o The post holder will be expected to be flexible in offering face-to-face appraisals or via Microsoft teams depending appraisee preference and travel to training and peer group meetings or attending on line.
The post holder will be expected to be self-motivated and highly reflective and able to guide own ongoing learning and development as well as supporting quality reflection and development in appraisees.
