We are seeking an analytical and highly numerate person to join us in the role of Senior Analyst.
You will be responsible for leading quantitative development of models relating to Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) as well as supporting the execution of SRT transactions and all aspects from Global Risk Analytics (GRA) perspective.
In addition, you will be responsible for working on creating solutions to help technical business problems (within and outside the SRT space).
In this role you will: Ensure Quantitative models are built to accurately measure risk, checking the EC model is fit for purpose and intuitive to use for business decisioning and Risk Management Manage and strengthen relationships with main stakeholders Manage the business influence on GRA and it's involvement with model development and usage Meet expectations around governance forums and Review and Challenge sessions Support the Head of EC in building an effective and robust EC analytical function, and in ensuring that the EC model is fit for purpose and intuitive Ensure independence on all analytical issues is another important target for this position Assist team colleagues responsible for checking model data quality, monitoring, and reporting issues to the steering committees etc Maintain control of data sources, model data quality, model development and an oversight of the model delivery To be successful in this role you should have: Extensive experience of the Wholesale business in particular Wholesale modelling or a similar entity (working with corporates) High numeracy and analytical capabilities Strong understanding of Credit Risk Understanding of Economic Capital (EC) or EC model development Excellent understanding of AIRB modelling Proficiency in manipulation of large data sets and excellent understanding of credit risk related data Excellent knowledge of Matlab, SAS data manipulation, Python modelling and statistical analysis Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain close working relationship with related parties Knowledge of policy and procedural change processes Very good understanding and interpretation of regulatory rules This is a hybrid role based in London or Edinburgh Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
