Role Overview As a Senior AI Programmer, you will design, implement, and optimise AI behaviours to create intelligent, engaging NPC interactions in FPS environments.
Working closely with design and animation teams, you will contribute to AI that is dynamic, responsive, and realistic.
Responsibilities Develop complex AI systems for NPC behaviours, including pathfinding, decision-making, and combat strategies.
Collaborate with designers to enhance gameplay systems and increase player immersion in FPS gameplay.
Optimise AI systems within Unreal Engine.
Create scalable AI solutions for large, interactive environments.
Mentor junior AI programmers and ensure system stability and efficiency.
Requirements Several+ years in AI programming, with expertise in classical AI techniques (behaviour trees, pathfinding, decision-making).
First-person shooter (FPS) experience is essential.
Proficiency in Unreal Engine and C++.
Experience with AI for FPS gameplay and NPC interactions.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with generative AI techniques in gaming.
Experience with multi-platform AAA titles.
