Senior Agile Delivery Manager

Role: Senior Agile Delivery Manager Type of role: Contract Rate: £600 per day IR35: Inside Duration: 6 months, with pre-planned extensions Location: Remote, once every 3 months in office An organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delivery Manager to lead agile software teams in delivering innovative digital products and services.
The Delivery Manager will ensure the smooth delivery of complex software development projects by managing resources, risks, and budgets, all while adopting an agile approach to iterative product development.
The role requires overseeing multiple teams, breaking down barriers, and fostering a high-performance culture, with a focus on integrating agile methodologies across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality specifications, managing third-party integrations, and acting as a point of expertise in agile practices.
Key Responsibilities: Accountable for delivering assigned products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the product owner's vision.
Manage risks, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery momentum is maintained.
Actively remove impediments to ensure the team remains focused on delivering value.
Develop and coach teams on agile principles, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
Manage dependencies and provide governance, ensuring adherence to agile delivery frameworks and risk management processes.
Foster a collaborative environment that promotes autonomy, creativity, and empowerment within the teams.
Lead communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure transparency and manage expectations.
Core Responsibilities: Governance and Controls - 60% Impediment Removal - 20% Coaching the team - 10% External Interaction - 10% Key Skills and Experience: Strong experience in managing technical projects and products using agile methodologies.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, balancing priorities and navigating ambiguity.
Solid understanding of digital technology trends, modern software practices, and the importance of continuous delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
