Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Referral to Treatment Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
We are seeking to appoint an RTT Senior Administration Officer who would like to join our well-established team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our ever-growing team.
We are seeking an individual with the below skills to help drive the Trust forward in delivering quality Administration processes and procedures.
****Interviews for this post are due to take place 18/12/24 and 19/12/24.
**** Main duties of the job You will need to be proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office packages.
In addition to this, experience in the use of Electronic Patient Record system (EPR) would be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
The ability to investigate and identify issues in our PAS system is in line with the current Patient Access Policy.
Daily validation of patient pathways identified on Trust reports by using the EPR system and patient notes in line with the Patient Access Policy and RTT rules.
Work as part of a team to improve the overall data quality of the Trust.
It would be advantageous to have a basic knowledge of National 18 week referral to treatment policies, targets and clock rules.
This is not essential as full training will be provide.
The ability to impart a Trust wide improved knowledge and understanding of 18 weeks.

Job description Job responsibilities Using Trust reports, hospital systems and patient notes and in line with the Patient Access policy and RTT rules, daily validation of patients referral to treatment pathway's.
(Daily validation of patient pathways identified on Trust reports by using the hospital systems and patient notes in line with the Patient Access Policy and RTT rules).
Daily validation of common user errors, including investigating cause of error, understanding complex pathways for multiple specialties and escalating to line manager for resolution.
To ensure, wherever possible, that all RTT processes are up-to-date, in an orderly fashion and available whenever decisions are being made, reporting exceptional circumstances where necessary.
This will require: effective collaboration with all relevant personnel to maintain an efficient administrative system; prompt transcription; manipulation and distribution of appropriate correspondence.
Involved in routine validation of 18 week pathways to ensure pathways are accurate at all times.
Support their line manager in monitoring of 18 week targets.
Exercise independent judgement and initiative when problems arise, taking the necessary actions to resolve the problems or escalating potential issues/problems in relation to RTT weeks to management team.
Share ideas for potential service improvement.
Undertake appropriate training with new and existing staff ensuring standards of practice are maintained at all times.
Ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner within appropriate timescales and in line with Dept and Trust guidelines, policies and procedures.
