The role In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of actuarial assumptions used in our financial models and reporting.
You will work closely with the actuarial, finance and other teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of assumptions that underpin our financial reporting, risk management, and strategic decision-making processes.
What are we looking for?
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in quarterly update and review of actuarial assumptions for use in financial valuation, reporting and risk management.
- Collaborate with review actuaries and other stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate input data required for assumption setting.
- Support the preparation of assumption updates, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Conduct data analysis to inform assumption updates.
- Contribute to the improvement of assumption-setting processes and tools.
- Provide technical support and training to junior team members.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of actuarial reports and analysis.
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in an actuarial role, preferably within life and pensions insurance.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, financial modelling, and assumption setting.
- Proficiency in actuarial calculations and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
