South London We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Womenswear Activewear Designer to join an expanding supplier to major high street brands and retailers in the UK and Europe.
With the opportunity to progress as you grow this area with their existing customers.
You will have a strong background in young fashion Womens Activewear with clear understanding of the Activewear / lifestyle sector Women's, Girls and Men's.
You will have an eye for trends, concepts, key shapes, colour and develop commercial ranges that become high street best sellers!
The Role Senior Activewear Designer Designing strong, bestselling commercial ranges multiproduct Athleisure/Activewear to include joggers, sweats, tracksuits, hoodies yoga pants, leggings shorts and jackets with a fashion edge.
Being aware of current trends and producing mood/direction boards, keeping up to date with latest colours, concepts and key shapes.
Preparing designs/ technical detailed packs and artwork for sampling.
Working closely with the customers buyers and the sales team, attending buying meetings, and presenting ranges.
Following designs from the first sample stage through to production with Account Managers and Customers.
Working closely with the Buyers and the Sales team, attending meetings, and presenting trends, cads and samples.
Overseeing a small team.
Promotional prospects to progress to Design Manager level Liaise with overseas factories, merchandising and QA.
Design Experience At least 5 years of design experience across multi product fashion Ladieswear Activewear To be proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop with strong CAD Ability to think outside the box and design commercial, creative multi product looking at young fashion high street customers Good communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels.
Great knowledge of fabric to include performance.
