Senior Account Manager - Public Sector

The Role As the Senior Account Manager, you will work as part of a pod, where customers are shared along with a sales target.
Our mantra is best person for the job which ensures we can put the right salesperson in front of each of the different customer personas.
You will form an integral part of the pod, concentrating on MATs in the main along with Further Education across England and Wales.
Business creation will be required, and we have strong support from our key vendors (including Cisco Meraki) and in house applications / USPs, in order to help achieve this.
The focus will be to create a vertical plan and execute in conjunction with the Head of Distributed Government North.
This role requires a high performer with a proven track record and strong network of relationships, previous experience of working within this vertical and understanding customers challenges is of great importance.
We hold ourselves accountable to non-negotiable and professional behaviours and standards, so you must also have a strong sense of self.
This role is remote, however you are expected to be in either our Hemel Hempstead or Warrington Office twice a week To be successful in this role, you will have : Experience within a reseller or solutions provider A proven track record of managing and closing deals valuing £300k within at least one of CAEs core products.
A history of achieving and overachieving targets, of £400k Gross Profit per year The ability to build effective and constructive relationships with both technology vendors and distribution partners.
Experience in leading formal negotiations to achieve successful outcomes for large value transactions.
Proven ability to control costs to in line with project and budgetary expectations.
Be able to build, maintain and articulate a sales forecast for month, quarter and year.
Highly developed networking, relationship and interpersonal skills.
Great presentation skills with the ability to persuade and influence.
Understand and appreciate our competitors and their strategy.

What is Needed?
Good understanding and knowledge of MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Salesforce Experienced in applying strategic account and campaign planning methodologies to achieve continuous revenue growth.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Authoritative presentation ability.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
