We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable SEN Unqualified Teacher to join a dynamic Special School in Colchester.
This full-time, permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to teach and support students in a nurturing and inclusive environment, with excellent potential for professional growth.
This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to develop their teaching skills while fostering positive relationships with students and contributing to their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN. Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to support students' learning and development.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
Plan and adapt lesson materials to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students, parents, and the wider team.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation and confidence.
Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational or similar setting.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and differentiation strategies.
Additional training or qualifications related to SEN or education.
A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
