A 2 form entry Primary School in the BS23 area of Weston-Super-Mare are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their very committed team of staff from September. This school is an exciting, forward thinking and dynamic school, who work creatively, in partnership with parents, to enable children to achieve great outcomes. The Role As a member of the support staff at this Primary School, you will be expected to work closely with the school SENDCo, understanding the individual pupils' needs and building a strong relationship with the pupil and their families.
The Head Teacher is looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and has previous experience working with ASD, social communication and/or SEMH needs. You will be expected to: Work collaboratively with the class teacher to assess development.
Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
Create a stimulating and purposeful environment Be flexible and adapt activities based on the pupils' needs and emotional feelings.
