Key Responsibilities of the SEND Teaching Assistant role: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ADHD, ASC, Dyslexia, Visual Impairment, Anxiety and other additional needs.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students.
Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Help students develop confidence, independence and essential skills to thrive in Croydon and beyond.
Collaborate with staff to support students behavioural, emotional, and academic development.

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant attributes: A degree (2:1 or above), demonstrating a strong academic foundation.

Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with students requiring extra support.
Previous experience working with children with additional needs is beneficial but not essential.
