Job Type: Full time Job Location: Colchester School Setting: Special School Contract Type: Permanent   REF: SENDIRECT/191631 Rate: £27,000-£48,000 per annum Hours: 8:30-15:30 Start Date: January 2025   We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a SEND Teacher to join a dedicated team in Colchester at a Special School.
This is a full-time position with a permanent contract, providing the chance to work in an inclusive and supportive environment.
As an SEND Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with a range of complex needs, including autism and communication difficulties.
  This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality education to SEND students.
You will be responsible for delivering personalised lessons to small class sizes, ensuring every child is given the attention and support they need to thrive.

  Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEND students.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
Provide support to students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, including autism.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive student support.
Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment.
Contribute to the school's broader initiatives to promote student well-being and achievement.
Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience teaching SEND students is desirable, but not essential.
A strong understanding of SEND teaching methods.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
