Job Type: Full time Job Location: Benfleet School Setting: Special School Contract Type: Permanent   REF: SENDIRECT/191633 Rate: £27,000-£48,000 per annum Hours: 8:30-15:30 Start Date: January 2025   We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a dedicated team in Benfleet at a Special School.
This is a full-time position with a permanent contract, offering a fantastic opportunity to work with students who have a range of complex needs, including autism and communication challenges.
  In this role, you will be responsible for delivering personalised learning to small class sizes, ensuring each student receives the individual attention they require to reach their full potential.

  Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of SEND students.
Collaborate with support staff to create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Support students with learning difficulties, including autism and other developmental disorders.
Monitor and track student progress, adapting your teaching strategies as needed.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
Maintain a structured, nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
Contribute to school-wide initiatives to promote student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
