Job Title: Special Education Professional (SEND & SEMH) Location: Wigan DBS Check Required | Driver's Licence Advantageous Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals to join our team in Wigan.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, with specific experience working with children, particularly those with autism and SEMH needs.
This role involves educating children and communicating effectively with both the children and their families, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Responsibilities: * Deliver tailored learning strategies and activities to children with special educational needs.
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, discussing progress and addressing any concerns.
* Develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
* Provide specialist support to children with autism, using appropriate techniques to enhance their learning experiences.
* Assist in the care of young children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment.
* Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate these findings to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements: * Proven experience in special education or a related field is desirable.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with children and families.
* Experience working with children, particularly those with autism, is highly desirable.
* A compassionate, patient, and inspiring approach to educating and supporting children.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team, while also being self-motivated.
* DBS check is necessary; a valid Driver's Licence is advantageous.
