As a SEND Specialist Teacher of Maths, you will play a crucial role in empowering students with diverse needs to build confidence and develop their mathematical skills.
About the Role We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in SEND and the ability to deliver engaging, personalised Maths instruction.
Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEND.
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student progress.
Assess students' strengths and areas for development, creating individualised learning plans to support their growth.
Use innovative teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.
Provide guidance and support to parents and carers on strategies to aid their child's learning at home.
Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a Maths teaching context.
Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with diverse learning needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
