This can be for many reasons, including a range of behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, exacerbated by being on the autistic spectrum.
Other difficulties such as sensory processing disorders, attachment disorders or those having faced trauma in their lives.It is our intention that every student will achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development.
As a day school, we provide an alternative to residential education which supports our students to develop independence and social skills whilst living in their home environment.Our staff provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.
Your responsibilities will include:To plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the School's Curriculum framework and related policiesTo monitor, record and report on student progressTo contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development PlanTo promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational and moral development of the studentsTo contribute to the development and implementation of an environment and programme of learning for the individual student to ensure progression at an appropriate and satisfactory rateTo take responsibility for coordinating the teaching, development, assessment, recording and reporting of subjects and areas of learning across key stages as agreed with the Head TeacherTo devise, implement and review individual education plans, individual behaviour plans and other relevant individual plans in conjunction with other staffTo organise the classroom, its resources, student groupings and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for studentsAdequately plan to ensure the safety of students, in line with risk assessments, while both on and off siteTo ensure Learning Support Assistants/Tutors/Instructors and care staff (where necessary) are well briefed and able to produce appropriate and effective resources/teaching aidsWork with and manage challenging behaviour, enabling students to develop from needing external control, to developing self-controlSchool for Inspiring Talents (SfIT) is part of Outcomes First Group (OFG) and we are really proud to say that in 2024, Outcomes First Group were officially certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the fifth year running.We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people.
