Job Type: Full time Job Location: Chelmsford School Setting: Special School Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent   REF: SENDIRECT/191638 Rate: £140-185 per day Hours: 8:30-15:30 Start Date: January 2025   We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEN Class Teacher to join a dedicated team in Chelmsford at a Special School.
This full-time position comes with a temporary to permanent contract, perfect for someone looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students with a range of special educational needs.
  In this role, you will work with small class sizes, providing personalised learning experiences tailored to each student's unique needs, including those with autism and communication difficulties.
Your ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment will be key to helping students thrive academically and socially.

  Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students with special educational needs.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
Support students with diverse learning difficulties, including autism and communication challenges.
Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
Contribute to the school's initiatives aimed at promoting student well-being and success.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents.
Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
