SEN Teaching Assistant Would you like to work in a progressive primary school in Preston as 1:1 support to a child with SEN?
An Ofsted graded 'GOOD' primary school located in Preston are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is experienced in providing SEN support to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in their Year 3 class.
They are identified to have moderate learning difficulties and some social and emotional difficulties.
This can also come with some challenging behaviour.
The successful candidate will provide full-time support to the child in order to enable them to access and engage appropriately with mainstream school life.
In order to be successful in your application, you must have at least 12 months prior experience in a similar role; this can either be in a mainstream primary or secondary school, a specialist provision or as a Support Worker or Carer.
SEN Teaching Assistant role Working hours: 8.45am – 15.15pm (0.5 hours break) £12.90 - £13.50.

5 days per week, working 1:1 with a child in Year 3 with MLD, SEMH difficulties and some challenging behaviour.
Learning from the school SENCo and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants, with use of your own prior experience.
Working closely with parents to ensure cohesion between school and home.
