Position: SEN Teaching Assistant with ASD Experience Location: Bournemouth Hourly Rate: £12.82 Start Date: November 2024 We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team in Bournemouth.
This role is crucial in creating a nurturing and inclusive educational environment that fosters the academic and personal growth of students with special educational needs.
The successful candidate will provide tailored support to individuals, helping them overcome challenges and fully engage in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to pupils with ASD, focusing on their unique learning needs and personal development.
Collaborate with teachers to implement effective behaviour strategies and individualised learning plans.
Facilitate small group activities that promote social interaction and communication skills.
Uphold the school's values, contributing to a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Previous experience working with students with ASD or in a special educational needs setting.
A patient, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of pupils.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Essential Requirements: Right to work in the UK, an updated CV with two recent references, and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to apply).
