SEN Teaching Assistant (PRU) Location: Camden, London Position: Full-time, Contract Start Date: As soon as possible Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant.
In this role, you will support students with diverse needs, helping them engage with their learning and develop essential skills.
Your contributions will be vital in fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the PRU.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs for students with SEN. Support students with their academic work, personal care, and social interactions.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualized learning plans.
Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Promote positive behaviour and support students in managing their emotions and challenges.
Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or special needs support is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting students needs.
