As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing personalised assistance to help them thrive in their learning environment.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special needs.
Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive classroom.
Monitor student progress and share updates with teachers and parents.
Build strong relationships with students to support their growth.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Proven experience working with children with SEN. Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
