Teaching Personnel is looking for a driven, charismatic and passionate practitioner to support a dedicated all-through school that supports students aged 7-19 with autism and related social and communication needs.
Both part time and full time positions available!

With provisions spanning from Key Stage 2 to post-16, we provide tailored support for children and young people at every stage of their academic journey.
Their curriculum is designed around each student's developmental stage, not their age, enabling them to learn alongside peers with similar abilities.
They place a strong emphasis on social and emotional development, helping students build confidence and independence.
By the time they leave the school, their students are well-prepared to face the next steps in their adult lives, whether that's continuing their education, entering training, or moving into employment Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with autism and communication needs.
Assist in the delivery of personalized learning plans and targets, ensuring each student's individual needs are met.
Support students with communication difficulties using a range of strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC).
Encourage positive behaviours and social interactions, promoting an inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and other staff.
Work closely with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and support for each child's development.
Support students in accessing the curriculum, ensuring they are fully included in all school activities.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with external professionals and specialists.
Requirements: Previous experience working with children with autism and related social and communication needs.
A strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and strategies for supporting communication and social development.
Knowledge of communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or other alternative communication methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, other assistants, and external professionals.
A commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Desirable: Experience working in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs, Childcare, or Education.
A knowledge of the local community and services for students with autism and related needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
