Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply) Start Date: October 2024 Location: Selby About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant on supply, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to children with special educational needs across a variety of school settings.
Your primary focus will be on offering tailored 1:1 assistance, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their fullest potential.
This is an exceptional opportunity to gain diverse experience and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children who need it most.
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive personalised attention and care.
Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each child.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of each student.
Monitor and record student progress, celebrating their achievements and identifying areas for further support.
Engage in various classroom activities and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the school.

About You: You have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Adaptability and resilience, thriving in dynamic and varied school settings.
Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in SEN education is desirable but not essential.
