Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, term time only, part time ad full time based on daily supply.
Duration: Summer term (with potential for permanent position) 4myschools are working with a 'good' rated schoollocated in North Walsham, committed to providing exceptional support and education to children with special educational needs.
Theschool proudly hosts a Specialist Resource Base in partnership with Norfolk County Council, catering to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Within this base, children have access to specialised lessons while also integrating into mainstream classes according to their unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to children with SEN, particularly those with Autism, in both specialist and mainstream settings.
Assist class teachers in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment conducive to the holistic development of each child.
Collaborate with fellow staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Requirements: Experience working with SEN children or adults is essential.
A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children with SEN. Ability to adapt to varying needs and learning styles within a diverse classroom environment.
Flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges, with a proactive and positive attitude.
While Teaching Assistant qualifications are not essential, relevant training or certifications in SEN education would be advantageous.
