Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Whitworth Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Hours: Full Time (temporary) Salary: £12.90 - £14 per hour Start Date: As soon as possible About Us: At our school, we are dedicated to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for all our students.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with diverse needs.
You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment, adapting lessons and activities to meet individual student needs.
Your contributions will be essential in helping our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities: -          Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs for students with SEN. -          Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons.
-          Help to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
-          Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
-          Support students with personal care and mobility needs, as required.
-          Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop effective strategies for student development.
-          Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Qualifications: -          Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting is preferred).
-          A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant).
-          Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-          Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
-          Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
