Bookmark Education is looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the NG13 area.
Offering a daily rate of £85 - £95, this role is available for an immediate start or from January, with both full-time and part-time options to suit your needs.
About the Role: You will support students aged 3-19, working across a range of ages and needs to create a positive and engaging learning environment tailored to individual abilities.
Key Responsibilities: Foster an Inclusive Atmosphere: Help students engage with their lessons and achieve both academic and personal goals.
Provide Tailored Support: Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to meet specific learning needs.
Work with a Range of SEN Needs: Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech & Language challenges.
Collaborate with Staff: Partner with teachers and SENCOs to track and enhance student progress.
Encourage Positive Behaviour: Assist in developing social skills, confidence, and resilience, while addressing behavioural challenges effectively.
Creative Engagement: Bring enthusiasm and imagination to lessons, creating engaging and dynamic activities.
What We're Looking For: Relevant Experience: Experience working in schools or educational settings is essential, particularly with SEN students.
Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree is desirable but not essential if you have suitable experience.
Adaptability and Empathy: Flexibility and understanding are key to supporting diverse needs.
Strong Communication Skills: Build trust and positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
