GSL Education are looking for a committed Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in Hythe to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant , you'll play a key role in helping students with additional needs thrive academically and socially.
Working closely with teaching staff, you'll provide one-on-one and small-group support, tailoring your approach to meet each student's unique needs.
Responsibilities: Assist students with various learning needs, promoting engagement and self-confidence.
Provide targeted support in literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects.
Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive interactions and growth.
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual education plans (IEPs).
Work alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent, inclusive learning.
Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
Ability to manage and support students' behaviour positively.
Relevant SEN qualifications or experience are desirable but not essential.
To work with GSL Education, you will need: Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
