About the Role: GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to undertake a position at schools in Eastleigh.
Your role will involve providing personalised assistance, promoting a love for learning, and contributing to the overall academic development of students in diverse special needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant Role: Implement strategies to support students with diverse special needs particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs to help them reach their maximum potential.
Cooperating with teachers and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
Utilising various methods to encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special needs.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant role: Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
