SEN Teaching Assistant - Amersham- Education and Training-Amersham Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs?
We're looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client school in Milton Keynes.
About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students aged 3-19 in a specialist setting that provides holistic support.
You'll work closely with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver a well-rounded educational experience.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
Ideal Candidate: A minimum of two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, or equivalent experience in care or as a support worker.
Experience working with autistic learners (verbal and non-verbal) is preferred but not essential.
A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support and inspire students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
