We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in BD2, supporting students with autism, complex needs, and non-verbal communication.
Position Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide essential support to students, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement.
The ideal candidate will have experience with non-verbal and autistic children and understand the unique challenges they may face.
Your role will involve using alternative communication methods, sensory activities, and tailored strategies to support each child's learning journey.
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with autism and complex needs.
Assist in implementing personalized learning plans and behavior management strategies.
Use alternative communication methods, including PECS, Makaton, or other sensory tools, to support non-verbal students.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Requirements: Experience working with children with complex needs, autism, and non-verbal communication.
Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton or PECS) is preferred.
A patient, understanding, and proactive approach.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
