SEN Teacher (Secondary) Location: Southampton Start Date: January 2025 Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term , Part-Time / Full-Time Salary Scale: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience) Are you a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to engage and make a meaningful impact within the lives of secondary school students in Southampton .
This position requires adaptability, patience, and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment where each student's unique needs are met effectively.
As a Secondary SEN Teacher , you will design, deliver, and evaluate tailored educational plans that address a range of learning difficulties, empowering students to achieve their fullest potential.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher : Develop and implement individualised educational plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
Monitor student progress, assessing and adjusting strategies as required.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide holistic support.
Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and specialists, ensuring comprehensive student care.
Qualifications for an SEN Teacher : Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a degree in Special Education or a related field.
Experience working with SEN students in secondary education settings.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and SEN best practices.
