We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher to work with students who struggle with mental health, providing tailored support and helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualised and group lessons to students with mental health challenges, ensuring they receive appropriate academic support.
Create a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and understood.
Work closely with school counsellors, SEN (Special Educational Needs) coordinators, and other mental health professionals to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the emotional and learning needs of each student.
Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and promoting resilience.
Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve academic and personal goals.
Encourage students to develop coping skills, build confidence, and improve their emotional well-being.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and involve them in their child's educational and emotional development.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with students with mental health challenges, SEN, or other complex needs.
Strong understanding of how mental health impacts learning and behaviour.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a nurturing and empathetic approach.
Ability to differentiate lessons and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
Training or qualifications in mental health, psychology, or SEN is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
This advert is for a temporary position.
In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
