The school is seeking an experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join their dynamic and compassionate team on a permanent basis from January 2025.

Role Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN, primarily at the primary level.
Plan and implement creative, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences.
Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional and social development.
Work collaboratively with the wider staff team, families, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Regularly assess and monitor pupil achievement, adapting teaching strategies to meet targets outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in pupils.
Essential Requirements The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Have demonstrable experience teaching children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting.
Possess strong knowledge of SEND best practices and strategies, including an understanding of autism, ADHD, and other specific learning needs.
Be skilled at managing a diverse range of abilities and adapting to different learning styles.
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
Demonstrate a proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
Have the ability to maintain patience, resilience, and empathy in challenging situations.
Desirable Skills Previous experience in a special school setting.
Additional SEN-specific training or qualifications (e.g., Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach).
Familiarity with using assistive technology or resources to enhance learning.
