SEN Teacher Location: Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (M1-UPS3) Hours: permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) Teaching Personnel have amazing opportunity to work with a large SEN school based in Royston.
The school are looking for a a highly motivated and passionate SEN Teacher to join there dedicated team.
The school is a specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 who have a range of PMLD, MLD and SLD needs including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and associated difficulties, who require an individualised, specialist approach.
Many of the students have complex medical needs and sensory/ physical impairments.
The students are supported to manage sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence, and difficulty with transitions which is often demonstrative through their behaviours. It will be your responsibility to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners within your class. Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate: PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning particularly sensory lead curriculums Positive team working, being able to contribute to our established team Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting and recording The ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines If this opportunity is for you please send your CV to Abigail Simpson All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
