Role Overview: We are seeking a KS3/4 SEN Teacher with a specialism in Functional Skills English and Maths.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting students with unique learning needs, and adaptable to creating engaging lessons that meet individual education plans (IEPs).
You'll work closely with our multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to ensure each student receives the right support for both academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver tailored lessons in Functional Skills English and Maths for KS3 and KS4 students.
Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of our students.
Assess, track, and report on individual student progress in line with IEPs.
Create a safe, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive learning experiences.
Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support for each student.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with relevant teaching experience.
Experience working with students with SEN, particularly SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
Strong understanding of Functional Skills curriculum in English and Maths.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
