Job Type: Full time Job Location: Chigwell School Setting: Secondary School Contract Type: Permanent   REF: SENDIRECT/191659 Rate: £36,745-£56,959 per day Hours: 8:30-15:30 Start Date: Immediately   We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher of Humanities to join a dedicated Secondary School in Chigwell.
This full-time role offers a permanent contract, ideal for someone passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  As an SEN Humanities Teacher, you will develop and deliver lessons that cater to students' individual needs, helping them to excel in subjects like History, Geography, and Religious Education.
You will work closely with support staff to foster an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
This role offers excellent professional development opportunities and is ideal for an experienced teacher looking to make a lasting impact.
  Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons for students with SEN.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Support students in developing academic and social-emotional skills.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive student support.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience in teaching Humanities to SEN students is preferred.
Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and approaches to secondary education.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
