SEN Support Worker Location:   Fareham Salary:   £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on Experience) Contract:   Full-Time/Part-Time Start Date:   Immediate GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and skilled  SEN Support Worker  to join our team in  Fareham .
This is a rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference, supporting students with various additional needs and helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
About the Role As an SEN Support Worker , you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs , ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum and thrive in their educational environment.
Your role will involve working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere that caters to the individual needs of each student.
Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, adapting assistance to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning and delivery, focusing on inclusive education practices.
Monitor and document students' progress, providing regular updates to the teaching team.
Engage in developing and implementing individualised support plans to aid student development.
Foster a safe and nurturing environment, encouraging positive interactions and participation.
Liaise with parents and caregivers, maintaining clear communication about student progress.
What You'll Bring: Previous experience in a similar role or as a  SEN Support Worker , preferably within an educational setting.
Patience, empathy and a passion for working with students who have additional learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students and staff.
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent would be an advantage.
Profound knowledge of various SEN strategies and approaches , with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Adaptability to work across different classroom settings and with a range of learning needs.

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Support Worker, you need: Have the right to work in the UK .
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years .
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
