SEN Support Assistant – Autism Support – Exeter Salary: £84.50 - £90.00 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time (Temporary, with potential to become permanent) Teaching Personnel is seeking a SEN Support Assistant to work with children with Autism in a well-regarded school in Exeter.
This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one and small group support to help students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities: Support children with Autism both inside and outside the classroom.
Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans (IEPs).
Encourage communication and social interaction.
Promote a positive and structured learning environment.
Help manage behaviour and provide tailored support for tasks.
Work closely with teachers and staff to ensure student success.
Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children, ideally with Autism or SEN. Passionate about supporting children's development.
Patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviour.
Strong communication and teamworking skills.
Willingness to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
