Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Sports Coach to work in a SEN Secondary School based in Salford.

This role has been created because senior leadership value the role of sports and physical education in promoting overall well-being and personal development.
Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging sports and physical education lessons to students with SEN, taking into account individual needs and abilities.
Create adapted sports programs to ensure all students can actively participate and enjoy physical activities.
Foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and inclusivity.
Organize and coordinate sports events, inter-school competitions, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate physical activities into the broader curriculum.
Keep accurate records of students' progress and achievements in sports and physical education.
Maintain sports equipment and ensure a safe and clean learning environment.
Requirements: A relevant sports coaching qualification or certification.
Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable, but not essential.
An understanding of different disabilities and the ability to tailor sports programs accordingly.
Passionate about promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development through sports.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
Organisational skills to plan and execute sports events and activities effectively.
Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the varying needs of students.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) to work with children.
Registration with Teaching Personnel required.
