SEN Primary Teaching Assistant – Plymouth Location: Plymouth, Devon Pay Rate: £85-£90 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only Start Date: Immediate/As soon as possible We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive and inclusive primary school environment.
Role and Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning and development needs are met.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapting resources to suit diverse learning styles.
Support students with emotional, social, and behavioral needs, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SEN coordinators to implement effective strategies and interventions.
Provide one-to-one or small-group support as required.
Assist with personal care needs if necessary.
Requirements: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting is highly desirable.
A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
Business insurance to cover travel to and between school sites, as required.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
