Fully funded training and qualifications Key Responsibilities: Deliver High-Quality Education: Teach Mathematics & PE/Sport up to GCSE level to young adults (16-25) with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the curriculum design, ensuring it meets the educational, physical, and social needs of the students.
Collaborative Teaching: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the learning environment.
Plan and Monitor: Use short, medium, and long-term plans to deliver the curriculum and set, monitor, and review personalized targets for each student.
Participate in Reviews: Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
Engage and Challenge: Provide clear lesson structures that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.
Budget Management: Oversee and manage a delegated budget as needed.
Essential Criteria: Qualifications: PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification, and evidence of in-service training.
Teaching Capability: Ability to teach Entry level 2 & 3, GCSE, and A Level in Maths & PE/Sport.
Desirable Criteria: Experience working in a college environment, particularly in specialist education.
Capability to teach Functional Skills Mathematics.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective planning, preparation, recording, and reviewing skills for student progress.
Proficiency in IT and understanding of its role in supporting learning.
Ability to remain calm and reflective in challenging situations.
Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
