1 to 1 LSA Full-Time BS36 Term 2 Start A 2 form entry Primary School in the BS36 area of South Gloucestershire are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1 to 1 basis with a KS2 pupil who has recently received an EHCP. This school is a close-knit, caring but highly ambitious school that promotes and secures high standards of teaching and learning throughout to allow all children access to learning experiences at their own pace.
The Role As a member of the support staff at this Primary School, you will be expected to build a strong relationship with the pupil and their family to understand home life and school life.
Anything can impact a pupil's behaviour and motivation at school. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience.
Someone who can bring a caring and nurturing feel to the classroom environment.
You must be able to build a relationship where the pupil can trust you and feel safe in your presence. You will be expected to: Work collaboratively with the class teacher to assess development.
Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
Have previous experience or understanding of ASD needs. Create a stimulating and purposeful environment Be patient, caring and creative. Be flexible and adapt activities based on the pupils' needs and emotional feelings. Assess and communicate the individuals' successes and developments.
