PMLD HLTA – Urmston (M41) Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an exciting opportunity to work within a Primary SEN Provision in Urmston?
Our client school is seeking a dedicated HLTA to provide day-to-day support within a Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) class.
Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day support for pupils within a PMLD class, catering to their individual abilities and needs.
Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and sensory programmes to support the development and progress of pupils.
Support pupils with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, as required.
Lead small-group activities and interventions to reinforce learning objectives and promote engagement.
Provide PPA cover for the class teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Requirements: Previous experience working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within a SEN setting, particularly with PMLD pupils, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of PMLD and strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of pupils.
Registration required through Teaching Personnel before an immediate start.
Benefits: Competitive daily rate of £85+ per day through PAYE, with no umbrella company or agency fees.
Full-time role Monday-Friday, providing stability and consistency.
Paid on a weekly basis through timesheets submitted to Teaching Personnel.
