SEN 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT Location: Warrington Salary: £80 - £90 per day Start Date: ASAP At GSL Education we are supporting SEN school in Warrington who are seeking Learning Mentors to join their team on a full time, long term basis with the idea of going permanent! The school provides a personalised wrap-around education package to students with complex needs or EHCP pupils at risk of having to be educated in residential placements.
The pupils have failed to thrive in Devon secondary and special schools or are returning from out of County placements. Every child has a high level of support often including one to one support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences.
A wide range of personalised learning in and out of the classroom is designed to engage the student, build resilience and provide the foundation for rapid academic progress. Responsibilities: Guide students as Learning Mentor, offering personalised guidance and support.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.
