**This position is working full time in the Halstead, Essex office.
Please only apply if you can get to Halstead on a daily basis and can work 8.30am-5pm.
Purpose of the Role Due to continued growth, LB Group is recruiting for an Accounts Semi-Senior to come and join the Accounts department in our Halstead office, originally known as Richards Edwards Group, we are currently in the acquisition process and will in the New Year of 2025, work under the LB Group brand.
The role will involve working to deliver a broad range of accounts services to our business clients.
This opportunity would suit a part qualified individual who is looking to progress their career and study towards an ACCA or ACA qualified.
Alternatively, the role would be suitable to an individual who is not studying but who has a strong practice background.
Accountabilities With support, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, assisting with: Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a mix of Sole Traders and Limited Companies Preparation of basic corporation tax returns Preparation of VAT returns Preparation of Personal Tax returns Assisting clients with queries Supporting the more junior members of the team in accounts & bookkeeping work.
Collaboratively working with other departments within our group.
Assisting Directors / managers with ad hoc projects.
Additional responsibilities as and when identified in association with expectations of the role.
Skills/Qualifications: We are seeking a candidate that has / is: AAT qualified Certificate/foundation level of ACA/ACCA completed Ideally 2 years practice experience Experienced individual who can prepare sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts for Manager review Strong IT/Microsoft abilities A professional approach with the ability to communicate with clients both via email & over phone/face to face.
