SEMH Teaching Assistant Medway and Kent Full-Time Feb Start £450-£500 Weekly Pay (PAYE - No Umbrella Company) New Directions Education is looking for a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant for a 'Good' SEND school based in Medway and Kent for a long-term role.
If successful, you will be required to support children diagnosed with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD).
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Have excellent communication skills.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD.
Build strong relationships with students and staff.
Be encouraging and supportive.
Maintain a positive attitude toward teaching and aiding children's development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the students.
Work and liaise with teachers, therapists, and parents to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Job Specification: Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
