Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Luton, Bedfordshire Salary: £460 - £500 per week Contract: Full-time Sector: Education and Training SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Support students with SEMH needs in small groups (6-8 learners), encouraging positive behaviours and academic progress.
Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to implement tailored learning strategies.
Work with students from 4-19 years old, helping them develop essential skills and self-regulation.
Assist with managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using positive and creative approaches.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare.
Encourage students to engage fully in their learning, promoting emotional resilience and social development.
